What is a MSDS ?

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are designed to inform both employers, employees and consumers of the hazards involved in the use or storage of a product that contains an ingredient that can pose a safety risk to an individual.
This risk may either be a health risk associated with exposure to a hazardous ingredient or a physical risk associated with the chemical properties of the hazardous ingredient.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration Hazard Communications Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, provides more detailed information concerning Material Safety Data Sheets.
